Ridgeback Rescue

Consider adopting a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback or a Ridgeback mix!

Rescue Ridgebacks often make the greatest pets, and there is nothing like a sweet older Rhodesian Ridgeback.  Ridgebacks only get better with age, rather like a fine wine.

Rescue groups often have very nice purebred and mixbred Ridgebacks that are needing homes.  Many come from homes that just couldn't keep them any longer and others come from shelters or other situations.  Most are wonderful companions just waiting for their forever home.  The benefit of the adult Ridgeback is that they are already potty-trained and have generally gotten over the destructive puppy phase.   Some even come nicely trained, while others require touch-ups on obedience and some have had little to no training but are eager students.  It is occasionally possible to get a purebred ridgeback puppy, if a puppy is what you really want.   I highly recommend adopting a rescue ridgeback.  That is how I got my first ridgeback (a mix), Kito, and he was one of the best dogs I have ever had.

Buster

Ridgeless Ridgeback mix

4 years old

Neutered male

This boy is really sweet and thinks he's a lap dog!  He loves to snuggle close.  He is not good with cats but does really well with other dogs and children.  He is a little wary of adult men but warms up to them with time.   Buster is crate trained but could use some basic obedience training.   Buster's family could no longer keep him because they had too many dogs.  Please consider this sweet guy!

Picture of Buster to come soon.
